Our Story
Where we started
David and Bekah got married in 2015. Our children arrived in 2016, 2017, 2019, 2023, and 2024. We used to live in Kansas but moved to Kentucky for a job opportunity for Bekah. We found a three bedroom apartment for rent in the city. Both David and Bekah worked full-time. We did not use a babysitter and our children were homeschooled. Our schedule was very tight and often we would have a 15 to 20 minute ‘debriefing’ before the other parent was off to work.
What changed
When we signed our 2025 lease we were informed that in 2026 we would be over the limit of people in our apartment. Babies apparently don’t count until they are one. We began praying and considering our options. God began leading Bekah towards staying home with the kids full-time and guiding both of us toward moving back to Kansas. We began setting plans in place to move when our lease was up. However God had other plans. Bekah was laid off from her job in October and we moved to Kansas in November.
The plan
We moved into an old farmhouse with a couple acres. We plan to renovate the house and build a homestead on the land. We want to raise our children in the country on food and meat we have grown ourselves. We will continue to homeschool and Bekah will stay home with the children while David works in town.
